Athletics

Westminster Christian High School provides numerous athletic opportunities for student athletes.  The primary objective of the interscholastic sports program is to glorify God through the use of His gifts. In addition to developing players athletic talents in a Christian environment, coaches work to instill respect and sportsmanship consistent with Biblical values.

Westminster Christian High School is a member of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) as well as the Private School League (PSL). The Middle School is a member of the Mid Northern Conference and the elementary school program is a member of the Fox Valley Lutheran Athletic Conference.  We offer the following opportunities for involvement in sports programs:  Our student athletes are continually singled out by the local media for outstanding athletic achievement through recognition on All-Area Teams. Many have received All-Conference recognition, as well.  Some, who have demonstrated significant ability through athletic participation have been recruited and awarded scholarships to attend a variety of colleges and universities.

Fall:    Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Girls & Boys Cross Country, Boys & Girls Golf

Winter:     Boys & Girls Basketball, Girls Cheerleading             

Spring :  Girls  Soccer, Boys Baseball

Currently, over 62% of Westminster students take part in the athletic program.  WCHS is a member of the Illinois State High School Association (IHSA) as well as the Private School League (PSL).
