Cultivating a Love of Books in Students
Sharing stories and expanding worlds
Instilling a love of reading in students is both critical to their academic development and significantly impacts their ability to use their imaginations. Our library seeks to provide students with opportunities to enter wonderful worlds, grow more curious, learn remarkable facts, and connect with their communities through stories and knowledge.
For our younger visitors, we often read books aloud to unlock the magic of reading. We also introduce students to different genres of literature and encourage them to browse our collection as frequently as they wish. As our students grow, they not only get to enjoy the stories the library holds, they also learn how to unlock the library’s full potential, a skill we hope follows them well after graduation.
The Westminster Library is open to all students who attend the school. Classes visit the library regularly in Kindergarten through Grade 6.
