Tuition and financial Assistance
Investing in Your Student’s Future
it’s worth it
We know that investing in a Christian education is a large commitment, and that many families like yours make sacrifices to choose a school like Westminster. Our ultimate goal is to launch men and women into the world for Christ, and we want to do that as often as possible. We’ve worked diligently to keep our tuition rates comparable and competitive with other private schools in our area. Westminster also includes most “additional fees” in our tuition, including field trips and many extracurricular costs.
Financial Assistance
Some may find it challenging to pay the full tuition rate. Through our strong and generous donor base, Westminster is able to offer financial assistance to many families with students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. We seek to match our tuition rates to your unique financial position through financial assistance.
OUR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE VALUES
Financial assistance offers are based upon the following three principles:
- Our desire to meaningfully support your family, as defined by demonstrated financial need.
- Our commitment to deal equitably with other families needing assistance.
- Our responsibility to not overextend the school’s fixed budgetary capacity for financial assistance.
Before Applying
- New students must have submitted a student application before the financial assistance application will be reviewed. These are two separate processes.
- If possible, we encourage families to first seek financial support from their church, family members, or other connections before pursuing financial assistance from Westminster.
Setting Expectations
The school has limited resources for financial assistance. Therefore, it is recommended that families apply for assistance as early as possible.
If you are approved for financial assistance, we ask you to give 40 hours of service to the school. High school students are permitted to serve all or a portion of these hours, while middle school students are permitted to volunteer alongside their parents as the job permits. Opportunities for volunteering are available throughout the school year and will be communicated as they arise.
A new financial assistance application must be submitted each year. As the cost of education increases annually, we ask each family currently receiving assistance to increase their tuition responsibility each year.
Approval Process
Our Financial Assistance Application allows our third-party source, FACTS, to evaluate your financial profile to help us determine what tuition reduction might be possible.
You will upload your most recent tax return information. If you complete the FACTS Financial Assistance Application by February 10, you will receive your tentative offer by February 17.
If necessary, you will be contacted by the Business Manager to review your application.
If you decide not to attend Westminster because the financial assistance offer does not meet your need, the application fee and enrollment deposit will be refunded.
