ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Preschool – Grade 4

Building Biblical and academic foundations in a Loving Community

Christ-centered curriculum

Our curriculum integrates the Bible into every subject and keeps decisions and discussions about hot-button issues in your hands.

Right-sized classrooms

We plan the ratio of teachers-to-students very intentionally, allowing teachers to individualize instruction and challenge each child according to their abilities.

Unmatched instruction

Our teachers and staff build intentional relationships with students that allow children to be seen, known, and loved.

CLASSES

Preschool and prekindergarten

Westminster’s Preschool and PreKindergarten programs are committed to a developmental approach to learning which encompasses the whole child. We focus on core areas including social skills, basic skills in phonics and reading readiness, listening and thinking skills, math, and handwriting development.

There are both full-day and half-day Preschool and PreKindergarten options available.

Kindergarten

As many students transition to a new daily school routine, we intentionally provide a balanced kindergarten program that provides academic, social, and physical opportunities each day. Beginning in Kindergarten, students participate in elective courses including Art, Music, Library, and Physical Education each week.

There are both full-day and half-day kindergarten options available.

Grade 1 – Grade 4

Core academic courses in Elementary School include Bible, Math, Reading, Social Studies, Science, Spelling, and Writing. Additionally students participate in elective courses including Art, Library, Music, and Physical Education each week.

Academic Extras

Students in Grades 1-4 can participate in the nationally-run Spelling Bee, ACSI Speech Meet, and Math Olympics. Resource services are also available beginning in Kindergarten, and our Library is open to all elementary students!

Athletics

Along with Physical Education, students can participate in programs like our Young Warriors Athletics Camps.

Spiritual Life

Both inside and outside the classroom, each day is intentionally structured to point hearts and minds to Jesus. Students in K-Grade 4 attend chapel each week where they worship Jesus and grow as His disciples. They also get to participate in classwide service projects.

Fine Arts

Students experience music and art classes as part of our regular curriculum and can join Art Club in Grades 1-4. They can participate in band in Grade 4 and our musical theater program in Grades 3 and 4.
